The only way in this country ( Kentucky ) to test drive it (HC) is pay for it first. What was the salesman thinking? Guess he wanted to ride in one as well.

To add to that, he had the copies of the drivers licenses and insurance cards with him....not left at the dealership.

I read a little about it, but it didn't even say it was a HC. My Dad was asking me if I'd seen it this morning. He told me it was a HC. The more I hear about it the more fishy it smell's.

The salesman has been on the news a ton, he got the shit beat out of him. It was NOT a HC, it was a Shaker Scat. Looked like a HC on the news story I 1st saw, but later pics clearly showed the car as a Shaker Scat Pack

This brings up a question so excuse me for derailing slightly.

I was a salesman at a Dodge dealership back in 2002 and the big ticket item at the time was a Prowler--we had a 2001 in orange. If you wanted to test drive it, you had to meet with the Owner--not just a salesman or the sales manager--and put a 100% deposit down, Laugh. There were no joy rides thinly veiled as "test drives" and that was just a $45,000 V6 automatic roadster.

I know this didn't happen with a Hellcat and maybe I just haven't tried it, but dealerships don't let just anybody test drive one of the Hellcats, do they? I can't imagine them tossing the keys to a $65,000 700hp supercharged muscle car to just anybody that asks for them.

I tried to just get a ride in one and couldn't. Been buying there since 04. And they knew I was in the market for one.

That fits my payment plan! That's really beating the sales man over for the right price! Tongue

Late B body score!
