It's an expensive event for sure, they do have the support of some very deep pockets, but I can also say that some of those guys told me that if oil does not recover, their racing will be impacted. It sells out in a couple hours, so I am guessing they will be OK.

I think last count was $500-550 for 3 days racing? Someone here can correct me. Hotel, fuel, gear if you don't already have it (we love loaning our shit) and what not for souvenir shirts, etc. Always a great time regardless of if you race or not.

I think my first year racing (2 day pass) was only $300 back in 2013 and has increased event by event to cover costs.

Ouch! That's what I was worried about. I don't mind spending a couple hundred for a weekend, but not just for the registration. Looks like this is going to be out of my league. Maybe I can collect aluminum cans to recycle between now and then.
