No more waffles!

RE: No more waffles!
So last Friday, I was at BFNY with Erik and we got the base line tune in the car. It was running strong down low, but was pulling timing up top. Erik sent me home with instructions to get plugs that were 2 steps colder and come back this Friday. The plan was to blow out my stock cats and then throw her back on the dyno with AJ on site to dial her in.

As you can see on the below dyno sheet:

Max Power on the Maggie - 470RWHP

Max Power on the Whipple - 595RWHP

Note a couple of things:

1.) The Maggie was pushing a tad over 12PSI when she rolled into BFNY. This combo had gone a best of 11.4 @ 126 (yeah the driver sucks)

2.) The changes to the baseline combo were the new blower, 2 step colder plugs, the blown out cats, 1 more PSI (13 total), a new fuel line (-6) from the tank to the blower and AJs tune.

3.) As a reminder for those of you that race dyno sheets..... BFNY's dyno is a tool for comparison purposes only.

Of course, this being my car, one of my fuel pumps crapped out on me at the end of the session. (I guess I had to break something Laugh). We will get that squared away and be ready for CF7.

At the end of the day, the upgrade has added more power than I hoped and the drivability is light years better. My part throttle with the maggie had improved due to tune revisions over the years, but it was still a bit of a light switch that you really had to be mindful of on the street. The Whipple is MUCH smoother and part throttle boost feels much more progressive.

Please don't get me wrong, the maggie is a great blower, and I have no regrets. That being said, the Whipple is going to get me to my goal.

Outfriggingstanding! That is a ton more power from that blower! Very happy for you bud!

The Maggie may have been one of the 1st on the scene but the Whipple appears to have been worth the wait.

Go get that 10!

Oh yeah.....at the end of the day I find it both funny and sad at the same time. There are people that want to argue every point in order to feel better about themselves. Smh

All I know is that the folks that actually do this for a living were pleased but not surprised. I was told that these results were NOT atypical from other similar builds.

I'm a happy camper. 😀
