RE: Drop in pistons anyone?
Are the pistons Modern Muscle (Mahle) ? 2618 or 4032 ? How much valve relief clearance do they have compared to a stock piston ?

Team Shake-n-Bake ftw!

Modern Muscle 4032. They have quite a bit of valve relief. A stock 6.1 has none.

So how much lift could you possibly run with these, .600 ?

Gotcha, I know it's not just the lift, overlap plays a big role also. Just trying to get an ideal of how much cam could possibly be run with these.

Kinda wish Dave didn't bail on the 5.7's but honestly with the cast crank, 5.7 drops ins are somewhat self limiting....I guess.

I traded PM's with him when he was 1st considering it, and I kept coming back to the fact that really you want a forged crank to do it right, and if your are going to do that, you want to upgrade the rods, etc....just seemed self limiting.
