Random miss fires wth
So I've been getting random miss fires once while when I hit the throttle for a few seconds. I've put new plugs in one step colder gapped 2 .30, and I'm also getting evap codes every now and again but I think that's from me over filling the tank when I first owned it. I've pulled the plugs the last 2 times the p 300 code came up and all is well.

RE: Random miss fires wth
It's the tune. I had them and mike had to Re-look at the fueling and found something and fixed it. I'd be lying if I said I knew anything beyond that.

RE: Random miss fires wth
I have been getting them (P0300) with my last tune revision. Did not get them in previous versions so I agree with Sean. I only get them when i go WOT and hold it to about 6k. It is an adjustment in the tune.

RE: Random miss fires wth
tune. usually its an injector staying on for a millisecond too long. fuel pooling in the intake tract causing it.

I recall him having me log some specific PIDS to check it, but basically Hugh nailed what the issue was.

They can dumb down the misfire reporting in the tune so that it doesn't show up. I question this as I would rather see what is going on and as long as it doesn't set a code you are good. If you look in Mode 6 on a scan tool you will see the Min & Max counts, the Max is around 30,000 I believe which is a lot. A few misfires counts isn't something to be too concerned with.
